JEFF DAVIS COUNTY -- Crews battled a massive wildfire in Jeff Davis County Wednesday.

Fire officials in the county tell Big 2 that the blaze broke out at the Madeira Canyon Ranch on the northern edge of the county -- near the Reeves County line. The fire burned 800 acres and threatened three structures. Luckily, none of those structures were lost, and no one was hurt.

Jeff Davis County and Balmorhea fire units were on the scene, along with the Texas Forest Service.    They were able to put that blaze out.
