The first robbery happened just before 1:30 AM Friday. Police tell Big 2 that a taxi driver was robbed by two of his passengers at the intersection of Kenny and Tuscon streets. The cab driver says he was dropping off the customers when one pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The driver complied and the passengers took off on foot.
Several hours later, the 7-Eleven located in the 1200 block of 11th place was robbed at gunpoint.
Police have reason to believe both crimes could be related. They say the suspects are both black males. One was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and a gray tobagan. The other was wearing a blue sweater and blue pants.
Anyone with information on the suspects should call Big Spring Police at 432-264-2550.
