MIDLAND -- A former M.I.S.D. secretary will spend more than a year and a half behind bars, after she pleaded guilty to embezzling money from a local school.

Anette Fitzhugh will spend 19 months behind bars for stealing money from the Midland Freshman High school cafeteria. Fitzhugh sent herself checks from the schools activity fund account, adding up to more than $60,000.

Now, Fitzhugh also has to pay back more than $70,000 in restitution. After she's out of prison, she'll also spend three months on supervised release.
