AUSTIN -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay has been sentenced to prison time.

DeLay will now serve three years behind bars on charges of conspiracy.  He received 10 years probation on Money Laundering charges.  He faced up to 99 years.

DeLay was accused of arranging an illegal $190,000 corporate campaign contribution to Republican state legislative candidates in Texas in 2002. DeLay maintained through the trial that he was innocent.

DeLay already has said he plans to appeal the decision.
