MIDLAND -- Midland Police are looking for a robber who's been spotted going door to door and robbing people in their homes.

The robber was spotted at Newport Apartments Tuesday night. Police say the thief knocked on a door there. Officers tell Big 2 that a woman answered the door, thinking it was a neighbor. But when she opened the door, the robber knocked her down, threatened her with a knife, and rushed inside. Then he forced the victim into a bedroom and demanded money, before taking off with the cash.

Midland Police say the same robber tried to knock on other doors as well. They want all Midlanders to be very careful when answering their doors.

Meanwhile, police need your help in finding the robber. Police say he's a slim black man in his 20's with a moustache. Police also believe he's about 6'1". The suspect was last seen wearing a green hooded coat with fur trim.

If you have any information on the robber, call Midland Police at 432-685-7108.
