Two West Texan Leaders Honored In Austin

AUSTIN -- Two Permian Basin leaders were honored at a leadership forum in Austin Thursday night.

    Renee Henderson Earl was honored with the outstanding Texas Local Leader Award. Earl has served numerous community organizations as a member and president from the Junior League of Odessa to the Girl Scouts of the Permian Basin.  She received a standing ovation as she was presented with the honor.

    Texas State Representative Tom Craddick also received a standing applause as he was named the Outstanding Texas State Leader. Craddick has served the house for more than three decades and passed landmark torch reform.

    Both leaders received the awards at the Bob bullock Texas State History Museum. The leadership forum and awards ceremony are sponsored by the John Ben Sheppard Public Leadership Institute housed U.T.P.B.
