Run This Way, a retail store specializing in running as well as all manner of sports and active lifestyle athletic shoes, clothing and accessories, has started a charity shoe donation drive to start immediately through February 15, 2011. In return, Run This Way will give each athletic shoe donor $5 credit towards a new pair of shoes at Run This Way. Athletic shoes donated can be new or gently worn in size 7 and up and soccer cleats are welcomed in all sizes.

Run This Way is located at 3209 Courtyard Drive, Suite L in the Highland Plaza Shopping Center, behind Toys R’ Us in Midland.

Collected new/used athletic shoes from Run This Way’s drive will be donated to the Perpetual Prosperity Pumps Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation bringing technology and training to the poorest farmers and villages in Ghana West Africa. The Foundation sponsors the Adopt-A-Family Program which is funded by the sale of used athletic shoes. Their goal is to lift families out of poverty forever as each 600 pair of used athletic shoes donated and sold provides a family with water access, an irrigation system, training, seed, and livestock. This allows each family helped by the Foundation to enjoy a perpetually sustainable harvest.
