Grass Fire Burns 5 Acres In Martin County

MIDLAND -- The weather has warmed up nicely the past few days, but the wind has also picked up across the Permian Basin. Add those conditions to our dry weather and grass fires become a concern.
There were no red flag warnings in the central Permian Basin Monday, but a grass fire did flare up in Martin County. The blaze burned five acres off of TX 349, north of the Craddick Highway.
Crews on the scene were able to get that fire out. No structures were threatened by the fire, and no one was hurt.
