COLORADO CITY --  Some defense attorneys are saying it's a good thing that Shawn Adkins has gotten himself an attorney, especially after he was named a suspect in the disappearance of Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn.

Attorney John Young of Abilene says that even though Adkins apparently failed a polygraph test, those tests are notoriously unreliable and cannot be used in court.

Meanwhile, as the heat gets turned up, Adkins's last interview with local media is being scrutinized. During that interview, Adkins described his last encounter with Hailey.

"[Hailey] told me 'Shawn, I'm going to my dad's, then stopping in with my friend Marybeth's. Please tell mom,'" Adkins said.

As for the search for Hailey, investigators will not comment on an alleged text message sent by Hailey on December 27th -- the day she went missing. The National Search Center for Missing Children has arrived in Colorado City. That group is seeing how they can help in the search for Hailey.
