MIDLAND -- A Midland man is behind bars, accused of tampering with drug paraphernalia in an attempt to hide it from police.

Bryan Patrick Rodriguez was arrested early Monday morning, after police broke up a party at his apartment. According to an arrest affidavit, Rodriguez, 20, and several other underage people were drinking at his Cypress Point apartment when Midland Police arrived and broke up the party.

Rodriguez then reportedly threw away a marijuana plant in front of the officers and refused to cooperate with them. Officers eventually had to spray Rodriguez with pepper spray to subdue and arrest him.

Now, Rodriguez is charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana. He's being held on $4,000 bond.
