Martin County - A chase involving Martin County sheriff's deputies ends with one man dead. Lonnie Martin, 54, was shot and killed early Saturday afternoon after refusing to stop when deputies tried to pull him over.

Big 2 is still waiting for the details to be released, but we do know that authorities were keeping a close eye on Martin after an incident involving his family who wanted him out of the house.

After days of refusing to leave, Martin got in his car and left Saturday afternoon. When deputies tried to pull him over, Martin refused. Then after a short chase, the pursuit ended on Highway 176 when authorities fired shots at his car, forcing it off the road. One of those bullets hit Martin and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Coming up Monday night at 5pm, Big 2 will have the latest on this investigation and more details involving Martin's background.
