A former Midland firefighter has pleaded guilty to charges involving mail fraud and failing to register as a sex offender.  Jason Heath Morrison, 34, went before a judge on Friday.

Morrison was extradited back to Midland last year, after he was found sleeping in a van in Washington state. Morrison was indicted on a number of federal charges stemming from a scheme where he and his business partner, Marcus Rosenberger, allegedly stole thousands of dollars in a fraudulent house flipping scheme.

His sentencing is scheduled for April.

Just a few weeks ago, Jason's twin brother, Jared Morrison, was sentenced to 18 months for failing to register as a sex offender .
