Gas Prices Hit $3 In Permian Basin

Prices were pretty stable in 2010 but this has just given way for an uncertain 2011. The website gasbuddy.com lists the average in the Permian Basin at $2.99 a gallon -- which is up 41 cents from this time a year ago. And that is only supposed to go up.
Some experts believe that we may see the same trend as we did a few years ago when prices hit the 4 dollar mark. But a lot of that still depends on the economic recovery. I spoke with a gentleman today who is taking a deep hit with the rising prices.
"I'm self employed," said consumer Bob Kerr. "I use a lot a day, so 4 to 5,000 a month. So it affects me pretty good."
