Witness: Evidence Collected in Big Spring During Hailey Search

BIG SPRING -- According to a member of the Hailey's Angels volunteer search group,
socks and hair were discovered during one of their routine searches in
Big Spring Friday morning.
The group has vowed to search every day until 13-year-old Hailey Dunn is found. She vanished from her home in Colorado City on the afternoon of Monday, December 27, 2010.
Members of the group sent Tiffany Tatro images of Big Spring officers collecting the socks from the scene. Our calls to Big Spring police to receive confirmation on the report were not returned.
Colorado City's City Manager Pete Kampfer said he was not aware of anything being collected in Big Spring.
Searchers told Tatro there's nothing to connect the socks that were discovered to Hailey Dunn. However, members of the Big Spring Crime Scene Investigation unit did come in and collect the items just in case.
