ODESSA -- Local college students are on their way to Austin to rally on the steps of our state's capital.

Wednesday is Community College Day in Texas, and every year students, faculty and administrators go to lobby for whatever issues they're dealing with at the time. Needless to say, this year most will be fighting proposed budget cuts.

Students from Odessa College left for Austin on Tuesday. They'll be meeting Representative Tom Craddick and Senator Kel Seliger when they arrive. The college will also present a petition to fight budget cuts.
