Odessa Man Killed In Crash Near Eastland

EASTLAND -- An Odessa man is dead after a car accident in the Big Country.

Jerry Albert Hildreth was driving an 18-wheeler down Interstate 20 on Monday night when the truck hit the center median, and then went into the bottom of a creek. Hildreth was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was raining at the time of the accident, and the road was wet, but it's not clear if that's what caused the crash. State troopers are still investigating.
