ANDREWS COUNTY-- A head on collision in Andrews County killed five people, including three children, on Saturday.

The accident happened around 1:40 PM Saturday afternoon on F.M. 1788. DPS Trooper John Barton tells Big 2 that Deborah Beck of Andrews was heading southbound on F.M. 1788 in a Volkswagen Bug when she drifted over into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a dump truck that was towing a trailer. Barton said that both cars burst into flames that could be seen for miles.

Beck and her three grandchildren were pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the truck -- Edwin Timmer of Hobbs, NM -- was also pronounced dead.

The family of the children killed in that wreck is having a hard time paying the funeral expenses and they could use your help. The family has set up an account at Wells Fargo Bank for donations. The account number is: 7244773011.
