MIDLAND -- The City of Midland has reached an agreement with AT&T after they say the company didn't honor an agreement they made with the city.

AT&T has agreed to a $1.3 million settlement with the city, which fulfills their obligations for property tax abatements and economic development agreements. Both sides say they're happy this has been worked out.

The city also says that AT&T has provided hundreds of jobs in the City of Midland since 2001.

I've worked at the AT&T call center since almost the very beginning. I'm glad there's finally been a settlement, and that I still have my job. That job has been a Godsend to myself and so many people that actually WANT to work. :-)
