District Police Take Over Jordan Elementary Investigation

ODESSA -- An investigation into an Odessa Elementary School has now been turned over to E.C.I.S.D. Police.
E.C.I.S.D. called in the Texas Rangers in early December to investigate a discrepancy in the activity fund at Barbara Jordan Elementary School. An internal auditor for the district found that discrepancy, and that auditor recommended that the district call in an outside agency to investigate. The school's principal Jan Brown was placed on administrative leave in mid-January.
Now, district police are rounding out the investigation. The case could still be turned over to the Ector County District Attorney.
