ODESSA -- An Odessa woman who was involved in an accident that killed a toddler has been indicted.

The state is charging 26 year-old Starr Madrid with one count of criminally negligent homicide for the November 4th incident. Madrid was pulling out of a parking lot in the 2600 block of north Grandview when her infant niece fell out of her Nissan Murano and Madrid ran over her. The child -- 22 month-old Y'Anna Nevi Sanchez -- was airlifted to Lubbock, where she died November 5th.

Madrid was arrested after officers say she didn't secure Sanchez in a car seat. She was released on bond, but she could face up to 2 years behind bars if convicted on the criminally negligent homicide charges.
