Man Killed In Rollover In Andrews County

ANDREWS -- One man is dead after his vehicle rolled over in Andrews County.
The crash happened around noon Wednesday on F.M. 1788, about two miles north of the Andrews County line. A Chevy pickup drifted off the road, overcorrected and rolled over multiple times. The driver -- 68-year old Jesse Alaniz of Andrews -- was ejected from his truck and did not survive. Andrews County deputies say Alaniz wasn't wearing a seat belt.
TXDOT was considering closing F.M. 1788 while crews cleaned up the crash, but they ultimately decided to keep the road open.
The crash happened less than two weeks after a head-on collision on the same road killed 5 people.
