MIDLAND COUNTY -- It's been very dry and warm in the Permian Basin recently, and that's raised the threat of wildfires across the Permian Basin.

In fact, one grass fire broke out Thursday afternoon near F.M. 1779 and TX 349. Fire officials tell Big 2 that the blaze was the size of a football field before they were able to contain it.

The exact cause of that fire is still unknown.
