MIDLAND -- A little after 1 PM Thursday, a man called Walmart and the police dispatch threatening to bomb the Walmart on JBS parkway. It wasn't until 3:00 PM that the super center decided to evacuate their costumers. That's when the police arrived.

"Police are on scene" Said Andrea Goodson, of the City of Odessa. "They are doing a systematic search of the building for any suspicious "

Surrounding stores were notified of the threat but decided to stay open and watch as the action ensued.

"We just watched to see what was going on to see if they were gonna make everyone leave," said Roanna Rodriguez, Associate Manager of a nearby Fazoli's. "We saw the bomb squad -- the cops."

After a thorough inspection of the entire store, investigators found nothing suspicious in the Walmart and finished their search. Even though the threat was a bust, it still left people unsettled.

"I was nervous," said Rodriguez. "Its never fun to hear you have a bomb threat. You get scared. I get scared.”
