ODESSA -- Police and fire crews responded Sunday to the 1600 block of North Lincoln in Odessa, where a child was  in cardiac arrest

The child's mother, 27-year-old Kimberly Moore and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Ralph Martinez, were charged with injury to a child.

The child -- Zachary Dominguez -- was transported to Medical Center Hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. An investigation determined that Dominguez had multiple injuries that occurred over a period of time.

Moore and Martinez are being held at the Ector County Law Enforcement center on $100,000 bond each.

Neighbors in the area say that there is a lot of traffic going in and out of the apartment where they lived. Taxi cabs would pull up all hours of the night with multiple people getting out. Neighbors also say that there was a drug bust there.

None of the neighbors that I spoke to claimed with have known Moore or Martinez. They also did not want to be shown on camera out of fear.

The investigation is still ongoing. An autopsy to find out what exactly killed Dominguez is pending.
