MIDLAND COUNTY -- I-20 is once again open in both directions after a grass fire shut it down Sunday afternoon.

There was also a massive accident along the Interstate at that location, including seven different vehicles. A 5-year-old child died in that accident. Numerous ambulances were sent to that area.

The fire also led to the evacaution of some parts of Midland, namely the Westgate area. The fire is now under control, and that is over.

Remember, while driving near wildfires, never drive through thick smoke. You don't know what could be inside.

The Texas Forest Service has reallocated resources to Midland to handle the fires on this extremely windy day.
