HOBBS -- A Hobbs homeowner who killed an attempted burglar last week will not face charges.

Watson Green, 70, called Hobbs Police on Tuesday night, saying that someone was trying to break into his home. Green then shot the attempted burglar -- 43 year old Wallace Roberson -- through the back door of the home. Police found Roberson dying in the alleyway behind the home.

The Lea County District Attorney's Office has since determined that the shooting was justified. Green will not be charged.
