Man Arrested After Getting Into Rollover On Interstate 20

MIDLAND -- A man is behind bars after getting into a serious rollover accident west of Midland.
The crash happened around 2:30 PM Tuesday on Interstate 20, west of Loop 250. A van was heading westbound on Interstate 20, when the driver got distracted and went off the road. He then overcorrected, sending his vehicle across the highway and onto the south service road. The van rolled over and caught on fire.
The driver was able to escape with only minor injuries. But after the crash, the man was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Department of Public Safety Troopers say there was also alcohol on the man's breath. Troopers believe the man might have been distracted by the burned grass near the interstate.
The man's identity has not been released.
