MIDLAND -- A lot of questions and concerns are being raised as the word spreads that two early childhood schools in Midland could be closing this year.

Big 2 has learned that M.I.S.D. is seriously considering closing Bunch and West Early Childhood Centers at the end of the school year. However, the pre-Kindergarten programs would continue at other locations.

M.I.S.D. is considering closing down the schools because they're old and in need of repairs. The district also says they're expensive to operate. The pre-K programs would be moved to elementary schools.

The district is also looking at shutting down some other programs -- including the Carver Center in it's current form.
