K2 Banned Nationwide

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A synthetic drug that has caused controversy nationwide is now officially illegal.
A federal ban on K2 and other synthetic marijuana went into effect earlier this week. Now, the Drug Enforcement Agency is cracking down on the drug, and people selling and using it.
Many cities had already pre-emptively banned the synthetic drugs because teens were using them, and because there were serious health concerns with the drugs. K2 now is considered equal to marijuana, cocaine, or heroin.
