MIDLAND -- A Greenwood woman who wrote bogus painkiller prescriptions to herself will spend the next 5 years on probation.

Misty Michelle Tullos was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Midland. Tullos used to be an office manager for a Midland dentist, and she wrote more than 160 fraudulent prescriptions between 2008 and 2010. Tullos would get the prescriptions filled at local pharmacies and then take the painkillers.

Now, Tullos will have to pay more than $9,000 in restitution, along with more than $3,000 in fines.
