MIDLAND COUNTY -- Drivers who use Loop 250 east of Midland will be seeing some changes on that road soon.

Starting Thursday, March 10th, the northbound frontage road of East Loop 250 will be closed at the intersection with East Business 20. The closure comes as TXDOT continues work on a direct connection from Loop 250 to Interstate 20 east of Midland.

Loop 250's southbound frontage road will be used for two-way traffic between Business 20 and County Road 1140. Loop 250's intersection with County Road 1135 will still be open, but traffic will be routed onto County Road 1140 to accommodate larger vehicles.

The new traffic pattern will be in place until late April. At that point, the southbound frontage road will be closed and the northbound road will be used for two-way traffic.

TXDOT says work on the Loop 250 extension is 85 percent complete.
