MIDLAND -- A Midland man is behind bars, after he was accused of pulling a loaded handgun on his fiance.

Deshaun Aaron Dumars was arrested on Monday morning. According to an arrest affidavit the victim was in the shower when Dumars, 30, ripped open the curtain, grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the floor. The victim's 14-year old son tried to intervene, but Dumars threw him to the ground.

After Dumars threw the boy to the ground, the victim got up and told him not to hurt the teen. Dumars reportedly responded "I've got something for you," and put a loaded gun to the victim's head. Dumars allegedly tried to load a magazine into the weapon, but the victim's son again stopped him.

Eventually, Dumars left the home. The victim said she was afraid to call police at that point, since she thought Dumars would kill himself and two small kids in the home.

The victim was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital's West Campus for her injuries. At that point, police found out about the assault.

Now, Dumars is behind bars, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He's being held on $50,000 bond.
