MIDLAND -- Midland Fire investigators are working to figure out what started a house fire Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze broke out in the 4700 block of Illinois around 4:30 PM Tuesday. Luckily, some neighbors were at home and saw what was going on before things got out of control.

"I saw that no one was there," a neighbor told Big 2. "And then I ran to the back and saw the flames start building up and then I called 911."

When fire crews arrived, they were able to contain the fire to the back of the house. The back bedroom was damaged by the fire and the there was smoke damage throughout the entire home.

Luckily, no one lived at the home and no one was hurt.
