BARSTOW -- Devon Energy continues to work on getting a well capped after a blow out Wednesday.

It all happened around 9 AM Wednesday at a drilling rig north of Barstow. The Ward County Sheriff's Office responded and had to close County Road 146 that runs adjacent to the road where the well is located.

Tony Thornton with Devon Energy tells Big 2 that the company's still working to cap the well. Once that's done, they'll be able to figure exactly how the blowout happened.

Big 2 will continue to keep you updated as we learn more information.
