MIDLAND-- Two Midland women are facing charges after police say they stole merchandise from Kohl's and ran over a security guard.

Rita Maria Saenz, 19, and Audrey Slawson, 20,  were arrested for the incident, which allegedly happened earlier this month. According to an arrest affidavit, a Kohl's security guard saw Slawson shoplifting and stopped her outside the store. But Slawson got into a vehicle driven by Saenz and the two took off.

During the getaway, police say the vehicle ran over the security guard's leg. He was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with a broken leg and ankle. Now, Saenz and Slawson are facing aggravated robbery charges.
