Midland Car Thief Suspect Arrested

MIDLAND -- Midland Police have arrested a teen who they say crashed a stolen car into a police cruiser.
Javoric Coleman, 19, was arrested late Thursday night. Police had been searching for Coleman for more than a day.
Police were called to the West Park apartments around 6:30 PM Wednesday night. When officers arrived on the scene, they saw someone into a stolen Hyundai and took off.
Police said that when they caught up with the car, Coleman got out of the moving vehicle and ran away. The Hyundai kept going until it smashed into a police cruiser.
Now, Coleman is charged with evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He's being held on $225,000 bond.
