MIDLAND -- TXDOT has finished work on two major intersections in the Permian Basin ahead of schedule.

TXDOT Started maintenance work at Midland Drive and Loop 250 in Midland, as well as 42nd and Dixie in Odessa in early February. Those projects were supposed to continue through late April, but TXDOT crews finished them earlier this week.

Single lanes were closed for several days at a time around those intersections as crews worked on them. Now, all lanes are open.

TXDOT thanked drivers for their patience. They added that drivers who took other routes helped workers finish the project faster.
