GREENWOOD -- The Greenwood Rangers are expecting big things this year and they got big results from Quarterback Kam Williams in a lopsided 40-0 victory over Kermit.

Williams accounted for four touchdowns. Three through the air and one on the ground. But still gives credit to his defense for playing a shutout football.

"Going into each offensive series and there being a goose egg for the other team on the scoreboard it's just a good feeling to know that if we don't score on this drive, we know we're going to have another drive because our defense is stepping up."

With Williams under center, everyone lining up for the Rangers knows they will always have a chance to win the game.

"Kam has been the starter for 3 years so I know he knows what he's doing," said Junior Receiver Anthony Salas. "I know that routes he's looking for. Usually I can always depend on him to put the ball in the right place."

"It's nice to have that kind of guy on the field that's like an extension of you I guess and what you're thinking," said Head Coach Shad Hanna. "He kind of gets in the flow of things and understands what i'm looking for."
