MIDLAND -- There are not a lot of positives that can come from Midland's 63-3 beating by Southlake Carroll.

The Dragons scored touchdowns on every one of their possessions in the first half. The Bulldogs never once found the end zone.

The good news for the Bulldogs is they have a bye this week, so they can take the extra time to pick up the pieces and prepare for Amarillo Tascosa and district play.

"I think it's a good time to get rested up from a staff perspective and from a player perspective," head coach Craig Yenzer said.  "A couple of long trips, and then also take a step back and size up the district, size up ourselves and see where we are from a personnel perspective."
