MIDLAND -- Sometimes bye weeks come at opportune times and sometimes they don't. For the Lee Rebels, it's hard to say.

Lee is coming off a hard fought upset win over Abilene Cooper, but perhaps they could have carried that momentum with them into the next week.

We won't find out if they bye did the Rebels any favors until this Friday when they play host to Lubbock Coronado. But as things stand right now, the 2-1 Rebels look pretty good and their head coach would agree.
