Ector County Democrats Get Fired Up About Upcoming Elections

ODESSA -- A Rabble Rouser event Wednesday focused on getting Democrats in the Permian Basin fired up.

The event took place a Dee's Bistro in Odessa -- with nearly 100 Ector County Democrats in attendance.

Texas Democratic Chair Gilberto Hinojosa spoke at the event.

While Texas is considered to be a solid Republican state, Hinojosa say it will be Democratic again, if more people get out and vote.

"This is the only state in the entire United States that's a Minority-Majority state where we don't have a state-wide elected officials that's a Democrat," Hinojosa told Big 2. "The reason for that is I believe is that a big part of the base of the Democratic party -- which are Hispanics -- are under-preforming during the elections. They're not voting."

Early Voting is already underway for the November elections.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th.
