MIDLAND -- A water line break knocked out water service to several Midland homes on Thursday.

A utility company accidentally hit a water line while performing some repairs and maintenance near East Taylor Avenue and South Atlanta Street on Thursday morning.

City of Midland crews had to shut off the water line in order to fix the break.

However, several homes in the nearby neighborhood lost all water when the line was shut off.

Luckily, workers were able to repair the broken line and restore all water by Thursday afternoon.
