Could Han Solo Return to the Big Screen?

By: CNN
Updated: November 7, 2012
Harrison Ford is open to the idea of bringing Han Solo back to life on the silver screen in 2015.

That's according to Entertainment Weekly, quoting sources close to the just-announced "Star Wars" sequel.

The announcement of a new Star Wars movie came with Disney's deal to buy Lucasfilm for four-billion dollars.

One highly placed source says Ford is open to reprising his role and is upbeat about it.

The source says actors from the original trilogy -- Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, and Carrie Fisher, who was Princess Leia -- feel the same way.

Entertainment Weekly says Ford, who is 70, won't go to the next level of contract talks until there's a script and director in place.
