MIDLAND-- Alex Olivas is taking Black Friday to a whole new level.

"Starting in the summer or so, I start saving up," explained Olivas. "I feel like if I'm going to get something I might as well get it at the best deal possible."

Olivas tells us he's been camping outside of the Best Buy in Midland since Wednesday, and says all the waiting will be worth it if he can score some discounted items.

"I can get that television, 40 inch," stated Olivas. "It's only $200 so that's like the best deal you can have."

Olivas isn't the only one waiting to get a good deal.

Jose Carrasco says he looks forward to the Black Friday bustle every year.

"I guess we're just anxious for it to be over with so we can get our stuff that we want," said Carrasco.

And while missing out on a Thanksgiving Day feast may not be appealing to everyone, Olivas says his mom is OK with what he's doing, but only because in the end she'll be rewarded too.

"She's OK with it," said Olivas. "She's going to get a television out of it!"
