MIDLAND--Black Friday sales come to an end following long lines and big deals. Full parking lots and long lines at midnight aren't common for stores like Kohls and Toys R Us, but on Black Friday it seems to be the norm.

"I drug my family to Wal-Mart at 8. There were a couple of things on the list that we really wanted. My family thought I was absolutely crazy, and it was crazy at Wal-Mart last night," said mall shopper Tina Whimmer.

"Well I got here at like five in the morning," said mall shopper Joie Cooper.

Cooper said he didn't get up early for a discounted television or laptop. He dealt with tired eyes for a pair of retro 1989 Air Jordan tennis shoes.

Whimmer said, she braved multiple stores, people and personalities.

"There were some good spots and some bad spots about it, we had one man leading chants and cheers, and we had one woman trying to push people out of the way for sheets," said Whimmer.

She said it was all done to find a good deal.

The Midland Park Mall opened the doors at midnight, employees at Victoria Secrets were ready for the crowd ready with special promotions.

Store manager Rocia Montoya said, "We only have sales twice a year, but our promotions are buy one get on half."

On top of all the specials and promotions going on all throughout the store, one of the big promos at Victoria Secret: If a customer spends $65 in the store, they would have gotten special pink tote bag filled with sample Victoria Secret products.

Some stores offered other forms of customer incentives.

"We actually have free gift wrap that we provide for our guests and we also have free layaway that we provide for our customers," said Buckle manager Mike Aguilera.

While free gift wrapping enticed some spender, Cooper came out for shoes and Whimmer said, she wanted to pick up special door coupons and check items off of her holiday shopping list.
