Another Cold Day, But Milder Temperatures Are On The Way 12-11-12

Updated: December 11, 2012
Today, we will see plenty of sunshine, and that will help us warm up a bit from yesterday.

Unfortunately, NW winds will temper that warming trend a bit and we will stay in the 50's across the Permian Basin.

Winds will be light today, generally 5-10 mph.

Tonight, high pressure keeps our skies clear and we will have another chance to drop into the 20's across the area.

Winds will return to the south overnight, setting us up, under high pressure to see warmer temperatures tomorrow.

Winds will pick up to around 15-20 tomorrow, and with relative humidity values in the teens, we could see critical fire danger through the Guadalupe Pass where winds will be even higher.

Temperatures tomorrow should be in the lower 60's tomorrow and into the mid 60's by Thursday.

Again, with winds around 20 and humidity very low, we could be talking fire danger again Thursday.

The winds really pick up Friday, and we could see wind speeds of 35-50 through the Davis and Guadalupe Mountains.

Temperatures Friday could soar back into the lower 70's across the area.

Our next front passes through and temperatures should fall back into the mid 60's for the weekend.
