MIDLAND -- A Midland family was shocked to learn on Wednesday that they had won $20,000.

Representatives with My Community Federal Credit Union went to the home of Ramon and Elvira Garcia with a big check, flowers and confetti on Wednesday afternoon.

The reps then told Ramon and Elvira that they had won a contest at the credit union.

Now, $20,000 will be applied to the Garcia's auto loan.

"I'm really surprised," Elvira Garcia told Big 2. "I'm shaking. Because I didn't think it was real. I saw it last year. I saw this lady and I thought, 'That's not ever going to happen to me.'"

Garcia also said that she reluctantly signed up for the contest.

Even after signing up, Garcia said she was confident that there was no way she would win.
