MIDLAND -- The City of Midland will be ringing in the new year with loosened water restrictions.

Starting on January 1st, Midland residents with even numbered addresses will be able to water on Saturdays and Wednesdays from 6 PM to 12 AM.

Midland residents with odd numbered addresses will be able to water on Fridays and Tuesdays from 6 PM to 12 AM.

The loosened water restrictions came about after the Colorado River Municipal Water District loosened water restrictions to its member cities.

The C.R.M.W.D. loosened restrictions to member cities after West Texas reservoirs received a lot of moisture during heavy September rains.
