Odessa Man Accused Of Running From Police After Shooting

ODESSA -- An Odessa man is accused of shooting at someone and running from police.

    Doborick Germaine Anderson was arrested on January 1st.

    Police say Anderson, 35, was involved in a shooting in the 400 block of South Dixie Boulevard around 12:50 AM on January 1st.

    Anderson reportedly took off in a blue 2-door Chevrolet Blazer that someone else was driving..

    Officers pulled over the Blazer near the intersection of Wabash Avenue and East Murphy Street, but Anderson reportedly got out of the vehicle while it was till moving.

    Anderson reportedly rolled on the ground and ran away -- dropping a handgun and several other items in the process.

    Officers caught and arrested Anderson nearby moments later.

    Anderson was treated for his injuries and then taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

    Police reportedly found 2 grams of cocaine on Anderson when they arrested him.

    Now, Anderson is charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and felony evading arrest.

    As of Wednesday evening, Anderson was being held in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center without a posted bond.
