MIDLAND --- Hospice Midland presents author Deborah Grassman on Wednesday, January 16th and Thursday January 17th for the 'We Honor Veterans' event.

Grassman is an author and retired nurse practitioner who's been a speaker for hospice organizations all around the country.

Her book "Peace at Last" is about war heroes and their stories.

On Wednesday and Thursday she'll be in Midland speaking with Hospice Midland staff in order to help them help veterans with the healing process at end of life.

"Our role in that is working with veterans at end of life and training our staff on how to recognize these differences when they are veterans and how to work with them" says Hospice Midland Director of Provider Relations, Lisa Jones.

Hospice Midland also helps veterans with accessing their benefits, that they may not know of.

The "We Honor Veterans" event is open to the public.
